This ceramic coaster set interprets the decorative tile vocabulary of the British Arts and Crafts movement, specifically the lustre-glaze and Persian revival work pioneered by William De Morgan (1839-1917) at his Chelsea, Merton Abbey, and Fulham potteries, alongside contemporaneous productions from the Della Robbia Pottery in Birkenhead, Pilkington's Tile & Pottery Company in Manchester, and the Craven Dunnill & Co. works in Shropshire.
